Shades of Heart is Vytenis Danielius’ debut album – it’s an emotional journey that combines the sophistication of classical music, the freedom of jazz improvisation, and the warmth of contemporary music. Each piece seems to reflect the shades of the heart: some are filled with light and hope, others with melancholy or introspection. The album features original compositions by Danielius, as well as rearranged works by such musical giants as Richard Galliano, Astor Piazzolla, and Eddy Louis.
Danielius is an accordionist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and winner of prestigious accordion competitions. His musical activities include performances at renowned international festivals in Europe, Asia, and elsewhere. He has earned three higher education degrees in music: classical accordion, jazz vocals, and saxophone. Now, together with guitarist Mindaugas Stumbras and double bassist Aliaksey Kryshtali, Danielius has discovered the sound of an accordion jazz trio.
