On 3 December, Paliesius manor will be filled with music from late 19th century and early 20th century. The famous soloists Kristina Zmailaitė and Edmundas Seilius dubbed this period “the wonderful era” – because it was a truly wonderful period for music and a time of wonderful music.
Lithuanian National Philharmonic chamber music ensemble MUSICA HUMANA has been active since 1974. It now demonstrates a high artistic mastery, recognised not only in Lithuania but also abroad. The group frequently participates in international festivals, in Lithuania and abroad, such as Gaidos, Pazaislis Music Festival, Vilnius Music Festival, Ars Baltica in Nürnberg and The Vale of Glamorgan Festival in Britain. In the summer of 1999, its art director Vizgirda initiated the first Kursiu Nerija international summer festival of chamber music in Neringa, which has already become a traditional event in the culture of the region.
