On 24 October, three artists will present the concert programme “Richard’s Women”. They will perform works by two innovators of German music, Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss, who created in romanticism and early modernism: their well-known works, revealing a portrait of a woman through the styling methods of the period, will be heard for the first time in Lithuania. The concert will feature opera excerpts, chamber music masterpieces, and opuses filled with virtuosity, maturity, and feminine sensitivity.
Soprano Kristina Zmailaitė has participated in more than 20 opera and operetta productions during her 23 years of work in theatre and music, performed numerous oratorios and several successful concert programmes. Pianist Milda Umbrusevičiūtė’s solo programmes have been performed in various concert halls; she is also active as a chamber music performer. Violinist Barbora Domarkaitė is currently the second concertmaster of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra.
