Paukštelis and Tarasov are returning to Paliesius Manor with a new project! Previously, the duo deconstructed Baroque music, and their new program features the music of Chopin. The manor’s antique instruments – the organ and the harpsichord – will also be heard.
Vladimir Tarasov is a world-renowned drummer, inventive percussionist, composer, and visual artist. He masters a wide range of musical styles, but his primary interests lie in free jazz and improvisational music. Instruments touched by this masterful percussionist resonate like an orchestra; he can make even unexpected objects sing.
Pianist Victor Paukštelis has performed at such prestigious venues as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein, and the Berlin Philharmonic and participated in numerous international festivals. He has released four CDs featuring works by J. S. Bach, C. Franck, R. Schumann, and other composers.
