On March 3, join us for a musical journey to Paris: three talented musicians will perform works by three remarkable composers.
Paris became a defining place in Astor Piazzolla’s artistic path, where studies with Nadia Boulanger inspired the unique sound of “tango nuevo.” Maurice Ravel captured the spirit of Parisian modernism and impressionism. Philippe Gaubert reflected the lyrical elegance of early 20th-century French music.
The program will be performed by Duo FluPia – flutist Vilmantė Kaziulytė and pianist Kristina Ivanauskaitė – and cellist Domas Jakštas. The musicians have participated in international masterclasses, competitions, and festivals across Europe. Duo FluPia has prepared various themed concert programmes and released the album “Duo FluPia”, while Jakštas is an award-winning cellist, active chamber musician, promoter of contemporary music, and principal cellist of the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra.
