We invite you to start May by listening to Dialogues between Centuries at Paliesius Manor. The concert programme of the talented pianist Ieva Jokubavičiūtė will include important works by Johannes Brahms and contemporary piano music. From the depths of Romanticism to today’s world of sounds, this is a conversation between two eras about inspiration, expression, and pianistic virtuosity.
Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute’s powerfully intricate performances have led critics to describe her as possessing “razor-sharp intelligence and wit” (The Washington Post) and as “an artist of commanding technique, refined temperament, and persuasive insight” (The New York Times). In 2006, she was honored as a recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship.
Jokubaviciute’s recital programs and recording projects bring her to major stages across the US and Europe. She also regularly performs at international music festivals, including Marlboro, Ravinia, and Chesapeake Chamber Music.
