Spend Midsummer Night in a magical atmosphere! This special night, marked by the search for the mythical fern flower, invites you on a journey through a forest of sounds together with Japanese cellist Chie Narita, pianist and vocalist Ieva Marija Baranauskaitė, and percussionist Mykolas Baranauskas. Guided by melodies and the wisdom of ancestral songs, and protected by rowan branches, we will wander through enchanted paths and uncover the secrets this night holds.
Chie Narita, who has performed at Paliesius Manor before, shares her deep admiration for Lithuania’s nature and people, with whom she feels a strong connection. Her previous collaboration with Ieva Marija Baranauskaitė and their international musical dialogue has been a great source of inspiration. This time, she will perform ancient Japanese songs closely tied to nature, alongside her own compositions.
“Such’a’Trip” is both a concept and a symbol reflecting the group’s artistic vision and goals. At its core are siblings Ieva and Mykolas Baranauskas, musicians who continuously experiment across musical boundaries, often exploring the edges where music meets other art forms such as theatre, sound design, cinema, literature, dance, and visual art.
Performance date: 2026-06-23 19:00
Performers: Chie Narita (cello, Japan) / Ieva Marija Baranauskaitė (vocals, keyboards), Mykolas Baranauskas (percussion) | Lithuania
