Just before Christmas, come to a special concert Love and Dances at Paliesius Manor! The legendary violinist Gidon Kremer, the Kremerata Lettonica ensemble and guest pianist Julius Asal, performing in Lithuania for the first time, await you!
The programme will focus on the music of three great composers, Astor Piazzolla, Joseph Lanner and Dmitri Shostakovich, but will also include other composers.
Gidon Kremer is violinist, artistic director and founder of Kremerata Baltica. He has established a worldwide reputation as one of his generation’s most original and compelling artists.
Kremerata Baltica is an ensemble formed of Latvian musicians from the chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica, now performing independently in various countries.
German pianist Julius Asal, praised by Menahem Pressler for his ‘uniquely beautiful sound and special sonority’, is quickly establishing himself as one of the promising performers of his generation.
