On 16 May, travel to Latin America with music! The Chamber Ensemble of the Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra will perform with chief conductor Karolis Variakojis and the harpist Liucilė U. Vilimaitė.

The Chamber Ensemble of the Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra presents the programme “Latin Wind”, featuring colourful and passionate rhythms from Latin America. You’ll hear works for wind ensembles of various compositions by famous, although less frequently heard composers from Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and Argentina. Their styles cover a wide spectrum: from the energetic dance music intonations of works by Arturo Márquez and Aldemaro Romero, to the mystically colourful Quarteto simbólico by Villa-Lobos and the modernist pieces of Silvestre Revueltas.

The Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra is the only professional wind orchestra in Lithuania that exclusively performs concert wind music. The orchestra performs with the most renowned national and international soloists.
