On 10 August, come spend a cheerful summer afternoon with well-known pianists Guoda Gedvilaite and Nami Ejiri, and their four hands!
The two pianists from Japan and Lithuania first met almost 30 years ago in Germany, where they were studying in the same class at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. Although both pianists are now active teachers in Frankfurt am Main, giving masterclasses in Europe, performing worldwide as soloists and chamber ensemble partners (and raising children), they occasionally meet to play music together. It’s magical and amazing how two Japanese and two Lithuanian hands can unite in this way and breathe together musically… When Nami and Guoda, from different cultures and with different characters, play together, the technical passages blend perfectly, and the means of expression sound so well that you would think it was one person playing, if you closed your eyes.
Performance date: 2025-08-10 14:00
Programme: W. A. Mozart, G. Bizet, M. Ravel, J. Brahms
