Julia Bagdonavičiūtė’s debut album “Srautas” (“Flow”) focuses on the Lithuanian Music Information Centre’s archives, which have led her to the works of eleven composers. The programme intertwines works for solo piano with different chamber music opuses. In the context of the album, the definition of flow as a “flowing multitude”, a constant movement, helps create a multifaceted musical narrative, where the intersections of different aesthetics and moods give birth to unexpected and inspiring dialogues.

Julija has performed for audiences in Lithuania, Italy, France, Germany, Hungary, Finland, Sweden, Portugal and Croatia. Since 2020, she has been a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now Hannover”. She actively performs not only as a soloist, but also in chamber ensembles, participates in various contemporary music projects, and is the producer of the international summer academy for pianists, Klaipėda Piano Masters.
