On December 5, an opera superstar returns to Paliesius Manor with a wonderful programme! Simone Kermes, a coloratura soprano, will perform alongside Italian theorbo player Gianluca Geremia.
Simone Kermes is internationally acclaimed for her unique stage presence, expressive intensity, and extraordinary virtuosity. The focus of her artistic work lies primarily in the concert repertoire. Her concept albums are born from a deeply personal artistic vision: Simone Kermes develops them herself and assumes responsibility for the entire production process. She rejects stylistic boundaries – Baroque, classical, opera, pop, and crossover coexist naturally in her work. Her albums regularly reach top positions both in the classical charts and the pop charts.
Lute player Gianluca Geremia is a member of the ensemble La Vaghezza, with which he won first prize at the international Maurizio Pratola competition and first prize, the audience prize, and the Bärenreiter prize at the Handel Competition.
