In this concert, the oldest liturgical chants of the Catholic Church will be complemented by the subtle sound of the kanklės. This is an opportunity for the listeners to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the distinctive, musical silence created by Gregorian chants and kanklės music.

Many of the hymns will be heard for the first time after many centuries. They were resurrected by musicologist Beata Leščinska-Baublinskienė, who has been researching the Bernardine Gregorian heritage and has initiated several Gregorian chant concerts in Lithuania.

The works will be performed by the Gregorian ensemble Schola Cantorum Benedicamus, which has been singing for more than ten years at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Vilnius.

Aistė Bružaitė, one of the best-known performers of her instrument in Lithuania, will accompany the chants with kanklės and play several improvisations.
