On February 25 at 4 PM, a French-inspired programme “A Kiss from France” awaits at Paliesius manor. It’s a new surprise from the ensemble LIETUVA, which has always had interesting repertoires: this time, the ensemble will perform pieces by Bizet, Debussy, Ravel and other French virtuosos with Lithuanian national instruments. The audience will hear songs from “Carmen”, “L’Arlésienne” and “Bolero” in Lithuanian and will also see performances of modern dance compositions.
The songs will be performed by the ensemble LIETUVA, led by senior conductor dr Egidijus Kaveckas, and a fast-rising opera singer, soprano Ilona Pliavgo. And for the very first time, the programme will be enriched by the solo dance performance of the ensemble’s senior ballet master Aušra Krasauskaitė, who has won some of the highest Lithuanian awards for her works.
