No person is indifferent to the cello. And when there are as many as five cellos on the same stage, something really fascinating happens. Interested? Then come to the concert Festive Lights by The Cello Club, a new ensemble formed in 2020, featuring five professional cellists: Povilas Jacunskas, Domas Jakštas, Arnas Kmieliauskas, Evaldas Petkus and Rokas Vaitkevičius.

All five are active musicians in Lithuania: they are members of orchestras and various ensembles, concertmasters. Their Cello Club was inspired by the homogeneous ensembles that have become really popular in Western Europe.

Cello Club is unique for its democratic principle of ensemble functioning, where each of the five members can become both a leader and a soloist. The ensemble performs serious academic music, popular classics and lighter genre pieces, without shying away from humour and reconsidering the boundaries between serious art and entertainment.
