An evening of chamber music, combining the depth of Romanticism with the boldness of contemporary music. The stage will feature pianist Donaldas Račys and Israeli violinist Evgenia Epshtein, known for their mature interpretations, sensitive musical dialogue, and broad artistic horizons. They will be joined by two more talented musicians: percussionist Arkady Gotesman and bassist Eugenijus Kanevičius.

You will hear two sonatas for violin and piano by Edvard Grieg: Sonata No. 1, Op. 8, and Sonata No. 2, Op. 13, works full of Scandinavian lyricism, inner tension, and emotional drama. They will be complemented by Boris Papandopulo’s Monologue for a violin solo, a concentrated, expressive work. And finally, the Lithuanian premiere of Eugene Levitas’ work for violin, piano, percussion, and bass guitar, Behind And Beyond: a composition transcending the usual boundaries of genre, combining classical tradition with the pulse of contemporary music, vivid rhythms, and unexpected timbres.
