The concert “Ave” connects the threads of history and the present like a bridge: the timeless music of Bach and Schubert is at the heart of the programme, and the echoes of these masterpieces are brought to life through the gaze of contemporary Ukrainian composers. Two talented artists perform: Ukrainian violinist Myroslava Kotorovych and Lithuanian pianist Milda Umbrusevičiūtė-Kavaliauskienė.

Violinist Myroslava Kotorovych, born in Kyiv into a distinguished family of musicians, has performed for a decade with the world-class Kremerata Baltica Orchestra. Now she is a distinguished Ukrainian artist, associate professor of violin at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine, and a regular jury member at both national and international competitions.

In recent years, solo programmes by pianist Milda Umbrusevičiūtė-Kavaliauskienė have been performed in many venues in several countries, broadcast and recorded by LRT Klasika radio. Milda is also active as a member of chamber ensembles.
