The Haven String Quartet (HSQ) is a dynamic ensemble that splits its time between delivering engaging quartet recitals across New England and running Music Haven, an award-winning non-profit that provides free instruments and lessons to 100 children in New Haven, Connecticut. As the permanent quartet-in-residence at Music Haven, each performer in the HSQ is a dedicated teaching artist as well as performer, combining their passion for education and equity with artistic excellence.
The HSQ will be joined by Grammy-nominated pianist Andrius Žlabys, who has received international acclaim for his appearances with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including The New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Rotterdam Symphony, and Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires. “One of the most gifted young keyboard artists to emerge in years” and “A Shining Hope of Pianists” are just a few of the praises he has received.
